I had heard of this author but had never read any of her work. I enjoyed
this book. Jaffe weaves the stories of the individual women in a way that
let's us see into the lives of each of them while continuing to keep them as
a unit. In doing research about Rona Jaffe, I learned that she passed away
in December of 2005 at the age of 73. I would definitely read more books
by her. I give this one a 4.5 out of 5.

I read this book not too long and agree with your accessment. The characters were easy to care about and the dynamics of the relationships were interesting.
